Damaco Foods Belgium, part of the Damaco Group, builds on a rich history dating back to 1964. What started as a local poultry slaughterhouse has evolved into an internationally active player in the food industry and a trusted partner in the supply of frozen food products. 

Based in Oostrozebeke, Belgium, Damaco Foods Belgium specializes in the global distribution of a wide range of products, including poultry, beef, pork, fries, and vegetables.

With customers in more than 155 countries and supported by an international network of sales offices, we have built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and long-term partnerships. As we continue to grow and expand our product portfolio, we are looking to strengthen our commercial team.

 

Your role

As an International Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing our export markets. You will play a key role in expanding our international business by building strong customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing and developing sales activities within assigned export markets.
  • Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining long-term partnerships with customers and business partners.
  • Identifying market opportunities and contributing to the growth of our international sales activities.
  • Ensuring smooth communication with customers by adopting a solution-oriented approach.
  • Monitoring market developments and responding proactively to changing customer needs.  
  • Taking initiative to drive sales performance and achieve commercial objectives.
  • Representing Damaco Foods Belgium during regular international business trips.
  • Participating in international trade fairs and industry events, where Damaco Foods Belgium regularly exhibits, including events such as Anuga, SIAL, Gulfood, and other leading industry exhibitions. 

Your profile

  • You have at least 3–5 years of experience in international sales within the food industry, preferably in frozen food processing and/or meat trading.
  • You have a strong commercial mindset and enjoy both developing new business opportunities and nurturing long-term customer relationships.
  • You are willing to travel internationally approximately 10% of your time.
  • You are proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently.
  • You are eager to understand and adapt to different regional business cultures and ways of doing business.
  • You are results-oriented and motivated by achieving commercial targets.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both externally with customers and internally with colleagues.
  • You naturally bring enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude to the team.
  • Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is essential due to the international nature of the role. Knowledge of German and/or Spanish is considered an asset.
  • We value attitude, drive, and commercial talent as much as formal qualifications.
