Sales Manager Europe - Damaco Foods Belgium

Your role

As a European sales manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing our export markets across Europe. You will play a key role in expanding our international business by building strong customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities.

Your responsibilities

• Managing and developing sales activities within assigned export markets.
• Maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing customers while actively identifying and developing new business opportunities.
• Building and maintaining long-term partnerships with customers and business partners.
• Identifying market opportunities and contributing to the growth of our international sales activities.
• Ensuring smooth communication with customers by adopting a solution-oriented approach.
• Monitoring market developments and responding proactively to changing customer needs.  
• Taking initiative to drive sales performance and achieve commercial objectives.
• Representing Damaco Foods Belgium during regular international business trips.
• Participating in international trade fairs and industry events, where Damaco Foods Belgium regularly exhibits, including events such as Anuga, SIAL, Gulfood, and other leading industry exhibitions. 

Your profile

• You have 3 years of experience in international sales, with some knowledge of or affinity with the food industry. Experience in frozen food, food processing, meat trading, or related sectors is a plus.
• You have a strong commercial mindset and enjoy both developing new business opportunities and nurturing long-term customer relationships.
• You are willing to travel internationally approximately 10% of your time.
• You are proactive, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently.
• You are eager to understand and adapt to different regional business cultures and ways of doing business.
• You are results-oriented and motivated by achieving commercial targets.
• You have excellent communication skills, both externally with customers and internally with colleagues.
• You naturally bring enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude to the team.
• Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is essential due to the international nature of the role. Knowledge of German and/or Spanish is considered an asset.
• We value attitude, drive, and commercial talent as much as formal qualifications.
